Community Making was born as an effort to encapsulate SVhk and the Urban Renewal Authority’s experience in neighbourhoods such as the Staunton Street/Shing Wong Street area and Sham Shui Po in the last five years. However, as a prototypical approach, what does the process really look like?
If you are getting puzzled by the term, then you have come to the right place! The SVhk and Urban Renewal Authority team have teamed up to produce the 20-page pamphlet that details the four pillars of the cyclical approach: CONVERGE, COCREATE, COLLABORATE, and CONVERT. As a launchpad to inspire more thinking towards urban development, we have compiled examples across the globe that embody the spirit of community making.
The pamphlet also serves as a preview of the forthcoming Community Makers’ Guide, which is a step-by-step playbook for you as your companion throughout the community making journey.
